Written for the conclusion of the canceled "The Missing Equinox ARG," Compass is a song about finding oneself after a journey and the end of cycles, Alluding to the changes in seasons, weather, years, and the stars.
I decided to finish this song after stopping at the Guadalupe Mountains after a light "snowstorm."
lyrics
Seven years of rain, the rain has washed
out.
The memory of an old century old
town.
Where the days are cold, and the spring
hardly comes.
The sea hums as the rocks turn into
crumbs.
Twenty years of sun made me forget.
Everything I used to know; everything I
regret.
So, I let my soul wander though the
roads.
Though the dimming sunlight until it
writes itself an ode.
North, South, East, and West.
Eastern soul, fleeced snow.
Sounds of Echo forth with ease and
orth.
Eastern snow, Sourthen soul
The road lights start shine far away.
As the north star looks like a stray.
The sunset goes goes though a cycle
with the moon; we all go into sloom
As I walk though the road, shine.time
and space entwine.
And the galaxies combine; the road
lights
The limelight dims; this is perhaps all
we sought.
But as the star shift, maybe this is all we
got.
North, South, East, and West.
Waste of yeast, sow of wheat
Sounds of Echo forth with ease and
orth.
Eastern cold, sourthen soul.
